Ginger root is a fibrous root with a light brown outer skin. It helps in relieving a variety of ailments. Ginger root soothes headaches, treats ringworm, digestion and even very effective in reducing pain associated with the toothache. The antibacterial properties of ginger help in healing minor infection, wounds, redness, and swelling associated with minor toothache. Fresh ginger root is easily available in the market, you can purchase it from there and can store for more than a week in a refrigerator.

How to use?

Wash the ginger root under cold running water and scrub it with a vegetable scrub brush.

Dry the ginger root with the help of a clean paper towel.

Cut a ½ cm thick piece of ginger from the main root of ginger.

Remove the outer covering or skin of the piece of ginger and place it in your mouth.

Bite a small piece of ginger using the tooth having pain and swish the extracted juice around the painful tooth using your tongue.

Chew the ginger root once it begins to soften for around 5minutes. Swallow the extracted juice and split the remaining pulp in a napkin for discarding.

Ginger tea

Boil more than 1 cup of water with half spoon of grinded ginger till it becomes 1 cup.

Now drink this ginger tea as your normal tea.

Swish it around the site of the sore tooth before swallowing.

Repeat these remedies daily till the toothache is vanished completely. If the toothache does not improve, see your doctor and follow his instructions.
